The spring of Francophonie, diversity and colors of the French language
The Spring of Francophonie in Albania is a yearly recurrence of a month-long series of events that celebrates the multitude of cultures, countries, arts, literature and diversity across five continents, all united in the French Language. These events provide a way for local Albanian citizens to be in touch, discover and experience first-hand the French Language and the French culture. To this end, McCann Tirana aimed at emphasizing the diversity that colors the French language, unifying a few representative countries from each continent that is part of the Francophonie, including very popular and widely recognizable local elements and symbols combined with tonal harmonies and minimal design, inspired by Matisse. The different pieces were unified and brought together to deliver a visually powerful message of celebration and the ways that French culture brings us together. This collaboration marked the third year in a row of collaboration between the French Embassy in Tirana and McCann Tirana. This year’s activities and events were cancelled to the Covid19 outbreak but the delicacy, tonal harmonies and simplified design will inspire every Francophile to explore further the French culture and language.
