In our new reality, healthcare workers are the ones who stand at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19. They make a stand everyday to help people, everywhere, in these difficult times. They are the real heroes of our time. With this in mind, McCann Tirana was eager to embrace a regional initiative launched from McCann Worldgroup Romania aiming to provide healthcare workers a small token of gratitude. The cities turned into exhibitions of artistic artworks dedicated to healthcare staff, thanking them for their work on a national scale.
McCann Tirana created a series of visuals for the occasion that were displayed in outdoor locations in different cities around the country, praising the “Heroes of today”.
The mosaic on the National Historical Museum is an iconic landmark in Tirana. It is named “Albanians” and symbolizes the Albanian heroes in the country’s history. An illustration of the mosaic was recreated, where the national heroes are the healthcare workers and the weapons they carry are medical equipment. The recreation was displayed in one of the main entries of the city, as a national thank you message to all medical staff.
To reflect the same powerful idea, McCann Tirana also recreated the Albanian icon of Independence in the city of Vlora, putting healthcare workers at the forefront, as today’s heroes in their battle against the virus.
The city roads turned into arts exhibitions, with dedicated City-Lights, bringing healthcare staff and their daily efforts closer to the people. A series of Tarots Fortune Cards were created to remind people that in these times, fate brings the best of its heroes to take care of them in difficult situations, from doctors to nurses, the dedicated messages show the power of courage and dedication, reminding how thankful we all should be to healthcare workers these days.
