McCann Tirana, first Albanian agency to win an award at the Golden Drum Festival

The “Respect the Living, Too” campaign by McCann Tirana won a Silver Drum award at this year’s Golden Drum festival, held in the Slovenian city of Portorož.
This is the first time that an agency operating on the Albanian market won an award at this prestigious festival which marks a major success and confirms the quality of the work and the creativity that McCann Tirana has fostered since it’s established. "This year for the first time ever we have a country entering Golden Drum. Please let’s greet Albania”, said the event’s organizers announcing Albania’s first debut in the festival.
Aside from this award, the McCann agency network in Central and Eastern Europe, within McCann Tirana operates as a part of I&F McCann Grupa, was declared the best agency in the region for the second year running. 
“This award is a matter of joy and pride to us, and not only because it is the first of its kind for McCann Tirana and for the entire Albanian market, but also because Silver Drum was awarded for a campaign that was pro bono and focused to serve the public interest. The campaign appealed to both local needs and universal values.  Also we use the opportunity to congratulate and thank the Albanian Ministry of Internal Affairs which provided true support in the field, which contributed in making this campaign possible.” said Suela Shtylla, Managing Director of agency McCann Tirana.
McCann Tirana’s campaign was achieved in close partnership with Kube Studios, the production partner for “Respect the Living Too”, and long-lasting collaborator of the agency.
The “Respect the Living, too” campaign, devoted to raising awareness for road safety, was implemented for the Albanian Ministry of Internal Affairs and won the Silver Drum in the Events category. This campaign effectively attracted attention to the issue of road safety, with the aim of educating road users and pedestrians on the importance of respecting the rules of the road. The campaign captured the attention of the public, sparking debate and going viral on the Internet. 
"To win and be recognized on a big and acclaimed international advertising festival like Golden Drum, by a global jury is a great achievement for the country and its creative community. The Golden Drum festival in Portorož is one of the most important festivals in the region which traditionally attracts some of the best global agencies. This year marks its 21st anniversary, it’s organized by the Slovenian chamber of advertising. 30 agency networks and 291 agencies from 24 countries participate in the festival, collectively they entered a total of 1220 works.
